SCCL achieves considerable growth in April 2021 despite the pandemic

Despite the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has achieved considerable growth in April. SCCL transported 54.43 lakh tonne of coal in April 2021, achieving a growth of 79.11 per cent when compared to 30.4 lakh tonnes in April 2020. During the period, 48.56 lakh tonnes of coal was produced, thus registering a 61.9 per cent growth when compared to 30 lakh tonnes in April of the previous year. SCCL could remove 347 lakh cubic meters of overburden in April 2021, compared to 272.2 lakh cubic meters in April 2020, a growth of 27.5 per cent.
