In response to multiple requests from interested bidders, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has extended the tender date for the Rs 67-crore Kajauli waterworks project to May 6. Originally scheduled for April 19, the extension allows bidders more time to gather necessary information and ensures healthy competition. The project, integral to the city’s water supply, will upgrade aging machinery, improving efficiency and reliability. Funding from AFD and the Centre’s AMRUT scheme supports the initiative, aimed at enhancing water supply infrastructure.
