Surat airport expansion project | New projects from India

Airports Authority of India (AAI)

AAI is extending the terminal building of Surat airport at a cost of Rs.354 crore. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has recently accorded approval for the airport expansion project. The existing terminal building will be extended by additional 17,046 sq m (excluding city side and air side kerb) to have a total area of 25,520 sq m. The project is expected to be completed before March 2022. Apart from this expansion, the work of the parallel taxi track has also started.
