Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is currently constructing South India’s tallest rail-cum-road flyover between Ragigudda and Central Silk Board, as part of the RV Road-Bommasandra Metro line (Reach-5). This ambitious project, set to launch by December, boasts two levels above ground: the first level featuring four lanes for road traffic, and the second level designated for Metro tracks. Spanning 3.2 kilometers in length and reaching a height of 31 meters, it stands as the region’s tallest flyover. Although the structure is complete, pending ramp construction will postpone its opening until the line’s launch. Following the abandonment of the project by the initial contractor, AFCONS Infrastructure Limited took over the contract through retendering.
