The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor, a monumental infrastructure project, is being executed by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL). With a total cost of Rs 1.25 lakh crore, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor is predominantly financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through a soft loan, covering approximately 88% of the project cost, while the remaining funds are contributed by the government.

The high-speed train, operating at an impressive speed of 320 kmph, will traverse the picturesque landscapes of western India, covering a distance of 508.17 km between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in just about two hours. This will be a significant time-saving between the two terminal stations. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor is a landmark project that showcases India’s commitment to high-speed rail transportation. It promises to revolutionize travel, providing a swift and efficient mode of transport between two major cities. The project’s progress under the guidance of NHSRCL underscores the government’s dedication to advancing the nation’s infrastructure and enhancing connectivity for the benefit of its citizens.
