Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Roads, Transport, and Highways, approved seven projects totaling Rs. 10,222 crores for Tripura. These initiatives would improve connectivity between Tripura and other northeastern states, such as Bangladesh’s neighbour. Additionally, it will boost the state’s economy and employment opportunities. The declaration was made in Guwahati during a review meeting of the northeastern states about the building of national highways.
