Chennai Corporation has announced plans to initiate operations of a waste-to-energy plant in Kodungaiyur within the next two years. The integrated waste management facility, encompassing the waste-to-energy plant, will now be implemented on a different land parcel owned by Metrowater, deviating from the original proposal which involved reclaimed land from the dumpyard.
