At a cost of over Rs 9,236 crore, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) would erect contemporary steel silos with a combined capacity of 111.125 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) in 249 locations spread across 12 states. Over the next three to four years, these silos would be built in three stages.
