The Goa government has made the decision to build a facility in Cunchelim, Mapusa, for recycling building and demolition trash.
The plant’s location has been determined. Goa currently generates close to 500 tonnes of C&D garbage each day, which is disposed of inefficiently along national roads, low-lying regions, and abandoned quarries, which is causing environmental issues. The government of Goa is eager to stop depositing of building waste in landfills, according to the state’s environment minister.
