L&T to construct cooling towers for NPCIL Rawatbhata nuclear power project

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has hired Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to construct cooling water pump houses and natural draught cooling towers for the Rawatbhata nuclear power project’s units 7 and 8. Construction of natural draught cooling towers, cooling water pump houses, cooling water pump installation and commissioning, and large diameter cement mortar lined and coated steel pipe, the primary means of transferring hot water from the turbine to the cooling towers, are all included in the project. In 36 months, the project is expected to be completed.
