Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, tweeted that the project to widen NH-17 in the state of Karnataka to four lanes from the Goa/Karnataka border to Kundapur is almost completed. Around 92.42 percent of the entire construction are currently available to traffic and will be finished by December 2022. Gadkari claimed that the 187 km-long road borders the Arabian Sea on one side and the Western Ghats on the other.
