The 1,224 km long Amritsar, Bhatinda, and Jamnagar Corridor is being built by NHAI for a total cost of Rs 26,000 crore. Amritsar, Bhatinda, Sangaria, Bikaner, Sanchore, Samakhiyali, and Jamnagar will all be connected by the corridor, which will go across the four states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The corridor will link the nation’s northern agricultural and industrial hubs with important western Indian ports like Jamnagar and Kandla. The entire corridor is targeted to be completed by September 2023. It is estimated that the Bikaner to Jodhpur section covering 277 km is likely to be completed by the end of this year.
