Riverfront beautification and commercial development project near Howrah bridge

The Kolkata Port, also known as Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, is evaluating proposals submitted by prospective bidders received after inviting expressions of interest for a major riverfront beautification and commercial development project near the Howrah bridge. The initiative would be in accordance with the government’s Maritime India Vision 2030 and its ambition to monetize the assets of public sector organisations. It might attract hundreds of millions in investment and provide the Kolkata Port with a new source of income.
