Automobile scrapping facility within 150-km of each city centre

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, recently stated that his goal is to develop at least one automobile scrapping facility within 150 kilometre of each city centre, and that the country has the potential to become a vehicle scrapping hub for the entire South Asian region. He stated that the National Vehicle Scrappage Policy is a critical move in India’s transportation and sustainability sectors, as it will allow for the gradual removal of outdated vehicles.
