Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC)
The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) intends to build five more Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) around the state. In this regard, MIDC has inked an agreement with NHAI and RVNL under the Bharatmala Pariyojna. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) would supply land for MMLPs, while National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), an SPV of NHAI will provide external road connectivity and RVNL will provide external rail connectivity, according to the agreement. The Centre plans to build 35 MMLPs at important locations for a total cost of 50,000 crore. Once operational, they will provide seamless freight movement across numerous modes, reducing imports and increasing exports.
