UltraTech Cement has approved the acquisition of Wonder WallCare, a subsidiary of Wonder Cement, for ?235 crore. The deal includes a six lakh tpa wall putty manufacturing plant in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, and is expected to close within 90 days pending approvals. Strategically located near raw material sources and UltraTech’s existing units, the acquisition will enhance the company’s position in India’s competitive putty market and offers scope for future capacity expansion.
