Sarai Kale Khan, the largest Namo Bharat station in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, is expected to be completed by April 2025. Trial runs for the Meerut Metro have begun between Meerut South and a section before the underground Meerut Central Station. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has confirmed the completion of track work between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan stations, marking a significant milestone in the corridor’s development.
