The construction of Machilipatnam port in Andhra Pradesh is 37% complete, with officials directed to expedite work for a June 2026 completion. Minister for Excise Kollu Ravindra, recently reviewed the progress, noting that four berths have been filled and dredging works are ongoing. The project, previously set for completion by December 2026, was advanced following a directive from A.P. CM. Infrastructure developments include a 200-metre road, railway connectivity, and links to the national highway to enhance logistics access. Once operational, the port is expected to boost regional trade and industrial growth.
