Zojila Tunnel is likely to complete by 2024

National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL)

The 14.5-kilometer Zojila Tunnel is currently under development and is expected to be finished in 2024. Construction on the tunnel began in 2018. This tunnel, coupled with the 6.5-kilometer Z-Morh Tunnel, will allow Srinagar and Kargil to have year-round road access. In addition, the travel time between Sonmarg and Drass will be greatly decreased.
