Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link

Northern Railway Construction Organization

Northern Railways is implementing the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). The USBRL project has 272 Km length from Udhampur to Baramulla, joining the valley of Kashmir with the rest of India. So far, the commissioned section includes Udhampur–Katra, Quazigund–Baramulla, and Banihal–Quazigund. The work on 111 km long Katra to Banihal section is still in progress. The Railway Electrification works in Banihal-Baramulla section is likely to complete by March-2022.
