Haryana Bijli Vitaran pushes for rooftop solar installation

With the aim to promote solar energy, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam has recently announced a scheme with a 40% subsidy for a three-kilowatt (KW) solar power plant in homes as per the guidelines set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. A subsidy of 20% will be offered for 4 to 10 KW upon installation of a solar panel system from listed firms. The consumer can save up to ?6000 in a year and can recover the investment in 5-6 years.
