VinFast, a leading Vietnamese electric car manufacturer, commences construction of its factory in Sillanatham, near Tuticorin with the SIPCOT campus. The sprawling 408-acre site within the SIPCOT campus will see an initial investment of Rs 4,000 crore, with plans for gradual expansion. The plant’s first phase targets an annual production capacity of 1.50 lakh electric cars.
