The Administrative Council (AC) has empowered the Board of Directors (BoD) of Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (JKPTCL) to oversee vital intra-state transmission projects valued at an estimated Rs 1,190 crore through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route in the Union Territory. The approved projects include a grid station in the upcoming Industrial Estate of Bhagthali in Kathua, laying of Downstream Transmission Network from the upcoming 400/220 kV Grid Sub-Station in Siot, Rajouri, and the construction of Grid Sub-Stations in Wahipora and Sallar in Kashmir, along with an associated transmission system.
