Himachal Pradesh Allocates Rs 65 Crore for Underground Electric Cables Project

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the allocation of Rs 65 crore to address the issue of overhead electricity and other wires by laying underground electric cables. As part of the project, Rs 25 crore will be utilized for ducting electrical cables in Shimla town, while Rs 20 crore each will be spent on laying and terminating underground cables in Nadaun and Hamirpur towns. The chief minister emphasized the completion of these works in a time-bound manner, highlighting the government’s commitment to beautifying towns and improving infrastructure for residents and tourists, promoting tourism in the region.
