Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects totaling ?77 crore in the Shahpur assembly segment of Kangra district. The initiatives encompass a ?56-crore sewage treatment plant, an augmentation of the drinking water scheme for Shahpur town, and a water treatment plant for various supply schemes. Sukhu also laid the foundation stone for a ?5 crore project to replace old pumping machinery in various water schemes. He announced the establishment of a ?250 crore milk plant in Dhagwar, the allocation of ?3,000 crore for Kangra airport expansion, and plans to develop Kangra as the state’s tourism hub, including the construction of a ?400 crore zoological park in Bankhandi, Dehra.
