Pune Metro Receives Approval for 4.4km Extension to Nigdi

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has granted approval for the extension of the Pune Metro from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) headquarters to Nigdi. This 4.4km elevated Metro expansion will feature three new stations: Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi. Design consultancy services for these stations are already in progress, with broader construction set to commence in the next three to four months. Once completed, Pune’s Metro network will cover 37.613 kilometers and include 33 stations, enhancing public transportation in the city.
