NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, India’s largest Power Utility with over 73 GW installed capacity, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. The agreement aims to establish a Green Hydrogen Hub in Kolkata as part of NGEL’s efforts to expand its Renewable Energy capacity, including Green Hydrogen and Energy Storage projects. The NTPC Group has set a target of achieving 60 GW of RE capacity by 2032, with 3.2 GW already installed and over 20 GW in the pipeline.
