UltraTech Cement, a prominent cement manufacturer in the nation, is setting its sights on an impressive annual production capacity of 200 million tonnes (MTPA). This visionary target was articulated by Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla during the company’s Annual General Meeting. To materialize this ambition, UltraTech has already commenced strategic measures, including plans to augment its existing capacity by 22.6 MTPA. Upon successful implementation, this expansion will elevate UltraTech’s overall cement production capacity to surpass 160 MTPA. Noteworthy is the fact that the company’s installed capacity stood at 132.4 MTPA in FY22, and a further 5.5 MTPA was integrated in FY23, culminating in an impressive total production capacity of 137.85 MTPA. This remarkable growth trajectory mirrors the company’s progression from a grey cement production capacity of 66.3 MTPA in FY16 to a robust 132.4 MTPA in FY23, effectively highlighting its substantial advancement in the competitive cement sector.
