NLC India Limited is preparing to commence operations at its first supercritical coal-based thermal power plant, Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd (NUPPL), located in Ghatampur Tehsil, Uttar Pradesh. The project, developed in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL), received government sanction on July 27, 2016. Spanning an area of 1013.97 hectares, the NUPPL power plant occupies 768 hectares, while 68 hectares are allocated for township projects.
