The NTPC-Simhadri Thermal Power Plant in Visakhapatnam is working on a hydrogen-powered power plant. This is in accordance with India’s committment at COP-26 of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. A pilot project to generate 50kW of power is under development.
