The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Odisha has invited bids for executing four lift irrigation schemes in Jharsuguda district, with intake from the Hirakud Reservoir. Falling under Cluster XXXIII, the schemes will cover 6,360 hectares of Culturable Command Area (CCA) and include EPC execution of the entire distribution network up to 1-hectare chak level. The Rs 224.71 crore contract also includes power system connectivity and 15 years of operation and maintenance post-commissioning. Bid submissions close on 29 April 2025. The project aims to enhance agricultural productivity and irrigation efficiency.
