Coal India expects to produce 788 million tonnes (MT) of coal in the current fiscal year, falling short of the initial 838 MT target. The revised target, set in January, stands at 806-810 MT. Despite a decline in global coal prices, the state-run miner has ruled out any price cuts. Chairman PM Prasad confirmed an expected offtake of 765 MT while speaking at the Indian Coal Markets Conference organized by mjunction.
