The Mamnoor Airport in Warangal is set for development, modeled after Kochi Airport, to ensure continuous activity. The Centre has approved it as Telanganas second airport, less than 150 km from Hyderabad. The project will utilize the existing airstrip, which has been defunct for decades. The state government has allocated ?205 crore for acquiring 253 acres for the project, to be handed over to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for development.
