India will achieve a milestone with its first-ever undersea tunnel as part of the high-speed rail corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The 7-kilometre tunnel, designed for bullet trains traveling at 250 km/h, will feature two parallel tracks. This is part of a 21-kilometre tunneling effort, which also includes other sections using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM), marking a significant advancement in transportation infrastructure.
