The foundation stone for the Palashbari-Sualkuchi bridge across the Brahmaputra River has been laid. The 3.6 km bridge will enhance connectivity between Assam’s northern and southern regions, easing logistics and providing easier access to vital areas. Set for completion by June 2028, the bridge is part of a broader infrastructure development, including the Indian Institute of Management in Palashbari, the Bogibeel bridge, and new projects such as the bridge linking Jorhat and Majuli.
