A.P. is advancing its waste-to-energy initiatives, said MAUD Minister P. Narayana during a visit to Jindal Groups solid waste management plant in Kondaveedu, Palnadu district. The facility processes 1,200 tonnes of waste daily, generating electricity and bricks from ash. The government targets dump yard-free urban areas by October 2025 and plans additional plants in Nellore-Gudur, Kakinada-Rajahmundry, and Kadapa-Anantapur corridors to manage 6,890 tonnes of daily waste. These projects are part of the state’s broader vision to promote sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of waste.
