Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has inked an agreement with Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) to develop and expand the Taldih Iron Mine under the Mines Developer and Operator (MDO) model. The project aims to boost production capacity from 2 MTPA to 7 MTPA, with new plants and infrastructure slated for completion in two years. Mining operations will commence in the third year and continue for 25 years.
