BMC's Rs 20,648 Crore Coastal Road and DBLR Projects

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to fast-track two major projects—the second phase of the Coastal Road Project and the Dahisar-Bhayander Link Road (DBLR)—over the next five years. Valued at Rs 20,648 crore, these projects aim to improve connectivity between Mumbai’s island city and its northern suburbs. The 22.93-km second phase of the coastal road, costing Rs 16,621 crore, will connect Versova to Dahisar, featuring bridges, flyovers, and tunnels, with environmental clearances required from both state and central authorities.
