The Centre’s Network Planning Group (NPG) reviewed the 185 km Ballari-Chikjajur Doubling project, spanning Karnataka’s Ballari and Chitradurga districts and Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district. The project aims to enhance the transportation of iron ore, coal, cement, and food grains, improving freight capacity and connectivity in the region.
