On July 11, a 3.5-km stretch of the Mumbai Coastal Road’s north-bound carriageway from Haji Ali to Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road in Worli was opened for traffic. This section is part of the 12-kilometre Mumbai Coastal Road Project, which is 91% complete. The project, costing ?13,983 crore, aims to finish soon. Previously, a 9.5-km southbound corridor and a 6.25-km northbound carriageway were opened. The project will link directly to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, reducing travel time between south Mumbai and the suburbs.
