Renewable Energy Sector News | Project News | Project Update | Project Opportunities

The Centre has sanctioned Rs 12,241 crore to bolster solar power development in Rajasthan by laying transmission lines to evacuate renewable energy. Rajasthan, contributing 20% to India’s solar capacity, plays a pivotal role in achieving the Centre’s 500 GW target by 2030. The power evacuation scheme, focusing on zones like Fatehgarh (1 GW), Barmer (2.5 GW), and Nagaur (1 GW), aims to evacuate 4.5 GW of renewable energy. These transmission projects will facilitate power transfer to regions like Mainpuri, Fatehpur, and Orai in Uttar Pradesh, enhancing Rajasthan’s appeal as a leading solar hub in the country.
