Ambuja Cement, part of Adani Group’s cement and building materials segment, has entered a binding agreement to acquire Penna Cement Industries (PCIL). This strategic acquisition supports Ambuja Cement’s goal of achieving a capacity of 140 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2028. PCIL currently possesses a cement capacity of 14 MTPA, with 10 MTPA operational and the remainder under construction at Krishnapatnam and Jodhpur, expected to be completed within six to twelve months.
