TANGEDCO Floats Tender for Coal Import to Power North Chennai Super Critical Thermal Power Station Stage 3

TANGEDCO has initiated a tender process for coal import to fuel the recently inaugurated 800 MW North Chennai Super Critical Thermal Power Station Stage 3, operational since March 7. Although designed for 100% imported coal, officials are considering a blend of imported and domestic coal due to cost considerations. Trial operations are ongoing, with the unit achieving a peak output of 250 MW.
