Ayodhya is nearing the completion of a 40 MW solar power plant in Majha Rampur Halwara village, marking a significant stride in clean energy solutions. Developed at a cost of Rs 200 crore over 165 acres, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) secured the land on a 30-year lease from the district administration at Rs 1 per acre per year. NTPC Green Energy Limited, engaged by UPNEDA, collaborates with solar panel producer Jackson Solar through a Power Purchase Agreement for the plant’s development and operation.
