Andhra Pradesh Seeks ?750 Crore Assistance from Union Steel Ministry for Greenfield Steel Plant

The Andhra Pradesh government has formally requested ?750 crore financial support from the Union Steel Ministry to enhance infrastructure and connectivity around its upcoming ?8,800 crore greenfield steel plant in the YSR district. Additionally, the state has appealed for assistance in securing iron ore linkages for the plant and the allocation of mines to the state-owned AP Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., marking efforts to fortify the steel project’s viability and success.
