Organization: Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Limited (ORIDL)
The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Metro Rail Project, managed by ORIDL and funded by the state government, consists of two phases. The first phase, covering 30 km, will connect Bhubaneswar Airport to Cuttack’s Trisulia Square, with stops at significant locations in both cities. The second phase will further expand the metro system to include more areas in Bhubaneswar and reach the towns of Khurda, Puri, and Cuttack. The entire project is scheduled for completion by 2027, with the foundation stone ceremony set for January 1, 2024.
