The underground Mumbai Metro Line 3 Phase 1 trial run, spanning from Aarey to Bandra Kurla Complex-BKC, is set to initiate in November, as reported. Earlier, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) successfully conducted a lengthy trial run covering 17 kilometers, from MIDC to Vidyanagari Metro station and back to SEEPZ. While trial runs on a three-kilometer stretch between Sariput Nagar Aarey to Marol began in August 2022, a small segment of track laying remains incomplete. Full Phase 1 operations, initially slated for December this year, are now expected to commence in the following year, pending the trial run.
