Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his visit to Maharashtra on October 26, 2023, by dedicating two significant rail projects aimed at bolstering regional connectivity and the local economy. The projects comprise the electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur Road railway section, which offers an alternate route to the Pune-Wadi-Secunderabad section, and the completion of the 3rd and 4th railway line connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval. The electrification of the 186-km-long stretch was executed by the Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE), while the new railway line will alleviate rail traffic congestion between Jalgaon and Bhusawal junction railway stations.
