Indian Oil's 2G Ethanol Plant to Reach Full Capacity, Aiming for 100% Utilization

Indian Oil Corporation’s 2G ethanol plant at Panipat, Haryana, a significant biofuel initiative, is on track to achieve 100% capacity utilization. Initially operating at 30%, the plant is expected to hit maximum production in the coming months. The facility, inaugurated in August 2022, is set to require 150,000 tonnes of feedstock annually. Collection of the necessary feedstock has commenced, aligning with India’s bioethanol blend requirements in petrol by 2025.
