Coal India Ltd (CIL), the national miner, has outlined plans to invest Rs 24,750 crore in a series of capital expenditure (capex) projects aimed at constructing 61 first-mile connectivity (FMC) initiatives. These projects, to be executed in three phases, will bolster eco-friendly coal transportation. Once completed, they are expected to have a total capacity of 765 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) for coal.
